S-1 Personnel | Hiring Freeze |
|
Due to various factors, mostly due to the fluid nature of internet communities, the 15th MEU(SOC) has frozen a number of billets to new joins and transfers until such a time as we improve the numbers in our infantry company. We have not and will not be closing any sections, the situation as it stands now is there are limited numbers of aircraft, tanks, engineers, corpsmen and recon slots available in their respective sections. If there are more than currently designated in a particular section, they will continue at that strength. If, however, a member vacates the extra billet, their position will not be re-filled until the hiring freeze is over. Please refer to the Recruiting section of the forums for information regarding what billets are currently open. |

S-2 Intelligence | Operation Arrowhead, ACE 2 and You |

The 15th MEU(SOC) Realism Unit has completed our transition into using Operation Arrowhead and ArmA2 Combined Ops, in conjuntion with the ACE2 mod for Operation Arrowhead. There are now two ACE2 mods available, so please make sure you get the right one for the right game. For information on how to update and use the ACE2 mod see the Armory section in the forums for instructions with pictures, or hop into Ventrilo and enquire around. |

S-3 Operations | 2010 Training |

The second quarter of 2010 is over and we are in full swing with trainings and activity unit-wide. Teams are training weekly, squads and sections bi-weekly and even platoon training is going every month. We are about to complete our first real deployment As we move into the third quarter of 2010 the unit will be going to begin training in a desert environment in preparation for deployment in Takistan from Operation Arrowhead. It is always exciting to introduce new environments and opportunities for various operations, and we're very much looking forward to some unit events in Combined Ops with all of the improvements it brings. |

The Command Staff is working on a 15th MEU Support Servers SOP. This would allow members that wish to provide a server for unit use a way to give them a link and official association to this unit. What the Command Staff is working on is balancing that fine line between keeping you in charge of your server but maintaining the image, rules, and regulations of the the unit intact. Once the policy is ready we'll get it out there so when you do a server list filtering "15th" you start to see: 15th MEU Recruiting 15th MEU Drill 15th MEU Gator 15th MEU Custom Missions This way the unit has several sources for training. And increasing our ability to conduct training on various other servers is never a bad thing... I think. |
